Brahmas Light/Dark (FEMALE) 11/22

Brahma, a majestic yet gentle breed, perfect for beginners. These large, friendly birds are great for families with children, requiring a bit more space and feed but are easy to care for. Adapting well to diverse climates, Brahmas are robust and dependable. They mature a bit slower, due to their size, compared to smaller breeds.

Once mature, Dark Brahmas lay around 150 medium to large brown eggs annually. The males can reach up to 12 pounds and females around 9.5 pounds, offering natural protection against smaller predators. With a lifespan of over 8 years, these chickens become long-term, cherished companions.

The Brahma’s appearance is as notable as its personality. The roosters boast a striking mix of silvery white and black feathers, while the hens are decked in a sleek, silver-penciled steel gray. This simple yet elegant coloration is eye-catching and easy to appreciate, even for new chicken keepers.
